a visit back to SNEC.. Singapore National Eye Centre.. the most-visited hospital by me.. haha..
first stepped into SNEC during my 2-week job attachment in nov 2002.. i was posted there.. even though it wasn't my first choice, but i m glad that i was posted there.. got to know my mentor Dr Chi Luu, Dr Adrian Koh, Dr Audrey Chia and adeline.. wonderful 2 weeks.. haha.. even got to go into the operating theatre and observed Dr Fong carrying out 3 different operations.. woahaha.. great experience.. especially when i got to play with the stitching equipments.. hehe..
was back there again when Dr Adrian Koh offered me a job there as his assistant during my holidays after A levels.. stayed there for 2 months.. doing simple data entry and analysis.. he's a nice person (that's why i got to slack a bit).. haha.. and i got to have an office room to myself (when he was not around).. haha.. got to meet the 3 musketeers (joseph, paul, kasi) in the photo room where i spent almost 2 weeks copying photos of the patients.. lots of patients by the way..
then i stayed there for another 2 months working in the medical records office after Dr Koh went into private practice.. haha.. he helped me got this job.. =D this was when i really got to know more people.. people from my department, from other departments, the doctors, the nurses, the counter staff.. haha.. labour intensive though..
and so today, after a year, i went back there again with yanhao (was posted there together with me for the job attachment).. to visit Dr Chi and adeline.. as well as to pass him the textbook i helped him buy.. meanwhile popped by to say hi to joseph and paul.. became Dr Chi's assistant temporarily when he was busy with his patients.. haha..
really missed the days when i was back there.. learnt a lot of things during that period of time.. =D
will be going back there again after Dr Chi has shifted to the new office area.. then we will have a private opening ceremony!! yeah.. haha.. suddenly felt like a VIP.. haha..
can i get an award or commendation or something? for being so involved with SNEC?? =D
